This workshop is for all aspiring teachers of the art of Persian dance! Teaching dance takes more than just knowing the moves! Niosha, founder and head instructor of Niosha Dance Academy, teaches the fundamentals for students who wish to take their skills to the next level and instruct.

Spring Daf Workshop
Join us for an 8-week session taught by Amir Etemadzadeh. Together, we’ll cover and learn how to hold and play the Daf appropriately, different Persian Rhythms, how to play them better, what they are called, and when they are used. A drum is required, but you are welcome to use whatever Frame Drum you have at home. Drum options include Daf, Dayereh, Bandir, or any Frame Drum.
Workshop Instructor: Amir Etemadzadeh
is a Middle Eastern musician, instructor, performer, and composer. Born and raised in Iran, he received extensive musical education from various masters. After arriving in the US in 2003 he expanded his portfolio to include world music drums. He is passionate about education and promoting peace through music and art. He currently manages his music academy "Amir School of Music." and teaches Persian and Middle Eastern instruments to kids and adults.

Special Mother’s Day Workshop!
Let us join together to celebrate courage, strength, and beauty while we support Masoumeh Ataei, survivor of a tragic acid attack. We’ll enjoy Persian Dance, Bellydance, Zumba, Ballet, and Yoga & Meditation as we raise funds to help Masoumeh see her child one more time.

Tapping Workshop (EFT)
This is an introduction to Tapping (or Emotional Freedom Technique). Our tapping technique workshop brings together psychology and energy-balancing concepts. This technique is used to address a variety of issues such as anxiety, fear, physical pain, and low self-esteem. We tap on meridian points on the body while repeating a series of statements related to the topic we are addressing. The result is lowered stress hormones, a calmer nervous system, and a renewed perspective on the issue at hand

Join us for an explorative and riveting dive into the classical beauty of Kereshmeh! During a five week workshop, students will be taken through the basic moves of this traditional and ancient dance and also learn a full choreography in the style. Taught by none other than Niosha herself, this workshop is perfect for anyone with a passion for vibrant tradition, culture, and pageantry.

Ballet
Dancers from anywhere in the world can join us for a special 3-week Ballet Workshop offered at Niosha Dance Academy. This beginners workshop will help you learn the very basics of ballet in a highly personalized and encouraging environment. The basic stance, body placement, feeling of the music and basic terminology will all be part of the workshop. Experience is not required and all are welcome to join!

Belly Dance Workshop

Join Pari for three weeks of intense, focused, and fun belly dance! For students who are looking to take their belly dancing technique up a step, Pari focuses on a wide variety of moves and undulations with a primary focus on technique.
