Niosha Dance Academy (NDA) was founded in 1991 by Niosha Nafei, to teach traditional and modern Persian/Iranian Dance to groups of students as well as individual instruction.
Students of Niosha Dance Academy perform regularly in both Persian/Iranian as well as multi cultural dance events.
Beginning and advanced classes are held throughout the San Francisco Bay Area on weekdays and weekends and include classical direction emphasizing regional Persian/Iranian dances such as; Bandari , Turkish/Lezgee, Baba Karam, contemporary Modern/Pop, and traditional Persian Dancing.

This was the first time the NBA celebrated "Iranian Heritage Night" with Dances from Niosha Dance Academy in Oracle Arena, Oakland, California. |

It is a critical part of our rights as American citizens and residents that we partake in this once every 10 years survey. The representation of Iranians in the US has not been accurately measured. As such, our voice is not heard as loudly as it could or should. This is our chance to let our voice and culture be known in the US!
Don't miss this once every 10 years chance on April 1, 2010!
The next survey will be in 2020!!!
The survey is very simple, and easy to take and completely anonymous.
Please make sure when you reach the section regarding national identity and ethnicity that you mark your survey as "Iranian" or "Persian". |
